Our family vineyard and tourist farm Kralj in Škocjan near Koper is roughly three kilometers away from the city center. The first vineyard, which covered half a hectare, was planted in 1978, when nono began his winemaking journey with Refosco. In 2009, Branko planted 1,000 Malvasia vines, which sparked his son Matej’s interest in grape growing and everything related to viticulture and winemaking. A year later, a new vineyard was planted with yellow Muscat and Refosco vines. In the following years, Cabernet Sauvignon vines were planted as well. The Kralj family cultivates five hectares of vineyards. Our winery produces two lines of Malvasia, three lines of Refosco, Cabernet Sauvignon, Rosé from the Refosco variety, and yellow Muscat and Charmat sparkling wine. Our focus is on the production of fresh wines; however, we are increasing the amount of production of aged wines. We are happy to offer our guests a tasting. The tasting area can accommodate up to 60 people. Along with the wine, which evokes pleasant feelings, we also serve homemade cold cuts. You can arrive by car, on foot or we can take you on a tour among the vineyards on our tractor wagon.
