The Krmac farm stands among vineyards and olive groves in Bertoki, where the Šavrin hills descend into the valley and approach the sea. Already the fourth generation of our family is engaged in viticulture and winemaking, and in 2014 we started offering products under our own brand. We produce wines with the utmost care and in accordance with tradition. The vineyards are in Bertoki and Popetre, with a total of 8 hectares and approximately 30,000 vines. Most are native varieties – Malvasia, yellow Muscat, Refosco, but we also have Shiraz. The wines produced in modern wine cellars are diverse – from fresh, slightly macerated, Rosé, sparkling and red wines to aged wines in wooden barrels. We have been involved in tourism on our farm for 30 years, and we are known for our wine shop, where we offer homemade olive oil, vegetables, grape juice, and traditional Istrian dishes, just like our ‘nonas’ used to cook, in a pleasant atmosphere.
At Kmetija Krmac, we can prepare casual get-togethers and tastings by prior arrangement. We can welcome you and serve you food in a pleasant Istrian environment with an open fireplace, and on warmer days we can also host you on our nicely decorated terrace. You can taste our wines at the farm in Bertoki or among the vineyards in Popetre.
