When the scenic road from Sveti Anton to Marezige in Kavaliči branches off towards Lopar, a view of the peaceful Rokava valley opens. Above it, quite isolated, is our homestead. Every year we fatten one of our pigs and make homemade sausages and prosciutto. We also keep chickens, goats, and rabbits. We have about 100 olive trees, and most of the oil is used for our own needs. Half of our vineyards are planted with Refosco and the other half with Malvasia. We have been bottling wine since the year 2000, but in recent years we have increasingly turned back towards traditional processing approaches. We welcome guests in our stone cellar, which is a reminder from the old house, and the newly built cellar above it.
