Our organic farm Karlonga is in the Potok village on the outskirts of Koper. Our main activity is olive growing, but we also produce wine and fruit. We are particularly proud of the fact that for many years we have been receiving championship awards for the quality of our olive oil both at home and abroad. We also use a traditional technique to produce brine-cured olives, for which we have garnered the highest awards for quality.
Among the 150 planted olive trees, which range from 30 to 70 years old, the most common variety is the native Istrian Belica, alongside Leccino, Buga, Ascolana, Štorta and Arbequina. Our olive oil is organic and registered with a Protected Designation of Origin from Slovenian Istria.
We produce high-quality organic Refosco, Malvasia, Maločrn and Cipro wines. We also offer wine vinegar. We sell seasonal fruits, namely persimmons, figs, medlars, pomegranates and grapes. You can buy all our products at our home.
We organize workshops where you can learn how to recognize good olive oil, how to produce it organically and how to include it in your cooking and healthy diet. We also prepare a tasting of various olive oils and wines, for which advance notice is required.
