The Istrape distillery offers high-quality spirits from the traditional Istrian brandy – Trapa. Istrian Trapa is a noble, carefully prepared distillate from the grape skins of native Istrian grape varieties Malvasia and Refosco. Using new knowledge and technology, we have created unique products that impress even the most demanding tastes. One of the main missions of our distillery is to contribute to and encourage a rise in the quality and global recognition of Istrian Trapa and Slovenian domestic spirits.
The story of our distillery began with the Istrian Trapa, where the name ‘Istrape’ also comes from. From it, we produce several types of gin with Istrian flavors: Istrian gin, gin with Refosco liqueur, gin with jujubes, Zmotljen, which is an unfiltered gin that creates an explosion of flavors and freshness in your mouth. We also offer wine liqueurs. Our estate holds 1,500 Refosco and Malvasia vines, which provide the main ingredient of our distillates. Bottles of Istrian Trapa and gin are sold in the distillery in Labor and in the family wine cellar in Kavaliči. An arrangement is required prior to your visit.
